The Drill was conducted at Maluso National High School ground to its students and faculties as beneficiaries involving the PNP, BFP, DSWD, LGU, RHU, responders from Barangays shipyard and upper port hollland. It was spearheaded by the PDRRMO- Basilan with technical assistance from OCD-ARMM and In coordination with the Maluso MDRRMO and supported by Hon. Governor Jim S. Hataman Salliman.

Various programs are being implemented currently by the national government which are committed on proving equity, equality and the access to health, and some of these were focused on solving older citizen’s health issues. The national government through Philhealth together with local government recognized this health issue of the community’s senior citizen, as these health issues are continuously affecting both the local and country’s economy and health care costs.
USAID TAPS GOVERNOR JIM S. HATAMAN SALLIMAN AS RESOURCE PERSON

In an act of acknowledging the efforts done by the Provincial Government in dealing with violent extremism in the island province of Basilan, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has tapped Governor JIM S. HATAMAN SALLIMAN to be the Resource Person during the USAID-ENGAGE LGU Partner Meeting held on July 26-27, 2017 at the USAID-ENGAGE Project Management Office in Lanang, Davao City. The topic of the event centered on “exploring Peace and Order Council approaches and activities to address Violent Extremism” in Mindanao and elsewhere. Along this topic, the Governor presented the Anti-terrorism Campaign embarked by the Provincial Government beginning July, 2016 to present, in close collaboration with the ARMM Regional Government, City and Municipal LGUs of Basilan, the AFP, PNP, Religious Groups, CSOs and other concerned groups. Also highlighted in his presentation are the series of post-war interventions to both the ASG Surrenderers and the affected civilians in several war fronts — ranging from the provision of emergency relief assistance to civilians, medical and feeding missions, processing of ASG surrenderers, to providing development projects to the affected communities.
The Provincial Health Office once again steered an advocacy campaign on health and wellness. Last July 19, 2017, Health Corner at the Provincial Capitol building was launched. Provincial Government employees were administered free health services such as Blood Pressure (BP) taking, Random Blood Sampling (RSB), health promotion and counselling are given free of charge to the employees. The said health corner is permanently settled and open every Wednesday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 Noon situated beside the PHRMD office second floor of the capitol building.
