MAYOR PRYCE TEVES OF BAYAWAN CITY VISITS BASILAN
Last May 17-18, 2017 Gov. Jim Hataman Salliman and the Province were visiterd by Hon. Pryce Henry Teves, Mayor of Bayawan City, Negros Oriental. Mayor Teves was accompanied by some of his LGU Officiasl and cooperative Officers.

Their purposed aside from visiting the Governor who is his long acquaintance was to have an annual look at the operations of some existing rubber cooperatives. Their interest in rubber production have been kindled 10 years ago by the now DA Secretary Manny Pinol, who introduce theme rubber. Being a novice in rubber production, they want to learn the standard exploitation/tapping, Harvesting, processing and marketing operations of rubber and its products.
After a short briefing by Gov. Jim, the party was accompanied by the consultant of the Governor Mr. Rafael T. Enriquez to Menzi’s United Workers Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Multi-Purpose Cooperative (UWARBMPC) in Menzi, Isabela City and Lamitan Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Cooperative (LARBECO) at Limook, Lamitan City.
Both the field and processing operations of rubber were shown and explained to them while questions and queries about rubber were answered to which they greatly appreciated while taking some souvenir photos and videos.
While in the Province, they also made courtesy calls with the City mayors both from Isabela and Lamitan Cities.
They were brought to see and swim at our White Beach Malamawi and their night was culminated by an informal dinner sponsored by the Governor.
They were sent off for Zamboanga City the following day after their sumptuous breakfast with the governor.
