Entrepreneurship, Business and Industry Promotion

The effectiveness of Enterprise, Business and Industry Promotion Council has registered a high performance in 2005 and decreased to medium in 2006 refer Table 7.2 – Entrepreneurship, Business and Industry Promotion Development State of Performance. This is attributed to the presence of SMED Council, SMED Plans, and conducted tehcnical assistance to SMESs I coordination with line agencies however, sometimes meeting are not minuted.

While, the presence of basic infrastructure and utilities in areas zoned for business and industry, had registeredd a high performance in 2005 and remained constant in 2006.

On the other hand, the Province had an exisiting Provincial Investment Incentive Ordinance or the SP Ordinance No. 97-03. A PIIO booklet was printed and distributed for investment campaign. However, the office was not fully operationalized due to lack of funds. Jobs created are taken from DTI-ARMM Provincial Office Business Name Registration (BNR) since no updated data has been recorded by the DOLE.
